Volleyball playoff pairings set

CRESCO - The playoff pairings for Crestwood (Class 3A) and Turkey Valley (1A) have recently been released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.
In Class 3A, Crestwood (14-12) will host Clear Lake (7-13) on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. in the first round. The winner will play either No. 6 New Hampton (28-2) or Waukon (9-13) in the semifinals on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. in New Hampton. In other first round matches, Mt. Vernon (22-9) will play Oelwein (0-29) and Jesup (21-11) will play NFV (11-13). The region final will be on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. in Jesup.
In Class 1A, Turkey Valley (9-12) will play Riceville (0-17) in the first round on Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at TV. The winner will play either Tripoli (13-13) or Nashua-Plainfield (6-19) on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. in Tripoli. The region semifinal is scheduled for Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. in Tripoli. The region final is set for Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. in Dunkerton.
