Turkey Valley baseball team nipped by Nashua-Plainfield

CALMAR - In a back-and-forth contest between two evenly-matched teams, Nashua-Plainfield broke a tie game with one run in the sixth and held on to beat the Turkey Valley baseball team, 5-4, on July 2 in the first round of the Class 1A District 3 Tournament.
The loss ended Turkey Valley’s season with an overall record of 8-19. N-P (11-13) advanced to face St. Ansgar (19-11) in the second round on July 6.
