Softball playoff pairings released

CRESCO - The Class 1A and Class 3A High School Softball post-season pairings were recently released by the Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union.
In Class 3A Region 4, Crestwood (16-6) will play North Fayette Valley (15-10) in the first round on July 5 at 7 p.m. at Crestwood. The winner of this game will play either West Delaware (20-10) or Osage (7-14) on July 7 at 7 p.m. in Manchester. The Region Final will be played on July 10 at 7 p.m. at the site of the highest remaining seed.
In Class 1A Region 5, Turkey Valley will play Central Elkader on July 3 at 7 p.m. in Elkader. The winner will play No. 1 Lansing Kee on July 5 at 7 p.m. in New Albin. The Region Semifinals will be July 7 at 7 p.m. in New Albin. The Region Final is scheduled for July 10 at a site to be determined.
The State Softball Tournament will be played in Fort Dodge from July 17-21.
