No. 5 Waverly-SR edges Cadet football team, 7-0

CRESCO - The Class 3A No. 5 Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks scored a touchdown early in the second quarter and held off an outstanding and valiant effort by the Crestwood varsity football team to trip the Cadets, 7-0, on Friday, Sept. 7 at Crestwood. The loss dropped Crestwood's overall record to 1-2. The Cadets will travel to Decorah on Friday, Sept. 14 to take on the Vikings with the varsity game scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Complete statistics from the game against W-SR will be in the Sept. 12 issue of the Times Plain Dealer.
