No. 2 Cadet girls rip Prairie du Chien

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN - The No. 2 Crestwood varsity girls’ basketball team raced to a 42-22 halftime lead en route to a 70-43 win over Prairie du Chien on Dec. 21 on the road to improve to 9-0.
“We got out to a fast start on offense, and we shot the ball very well,” Cadet Head Coach Doug Sickles said. “The girls also distributed the ball well as we finished with 19 team assists. Our defense played pretty well against a patient Prairie du Chien team.”
Shannon Pisney led the Cadets with 25 points and had 12 rebounds. Ellie Friesen had 19 points, 11 assists and six steals.
Sharon Goodman had 18 points and eight rebounds. Brynn Bodermann and Emily Friesen each had three points. Laken Lienhard tallied two points.
The Cadets will host New Hampton on Jan. 2.
