Crestwood Tourney
Cadet Head Coach Doug Sickles was pleased overall with the way Crestwood played at its home tournament by winning two of three games.
“I thought the tournament went fairly well for us,” Sickles said. “Our pitching and defense were good. Laken Lienhard and Kaylee Thomas both pitched outstanding for us. Laken also had a big weekend for us with four home runs.
“The only time we got in trouble was when we couldn’t hit the ball (against Independence). Their pitcher, Mackenzie Hupke, dominated us. We needed to do a better job of putting the ball in play against Independence,” Sickles said.
