Girls' basketball playoff pairings released

CRESCO - The girls' basketball playoff pairings for Class 1A (Turkey Valley) and Class 3A (Crestwood) were recently released by the Iowa Girls' High School Athletic Union.

In Class 3A Region 4, Crestwood (15-3) will play North Fayette Valley (11-8) at home on Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. in the first round of the tournament. The winner will play either Waukon (10-7) or New Hampton (8-9) in the region semifinals on Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. at Crestwood. In the other first round games, Davenport Assumpton (12-5) will play Tipton (5-13) and Anamosa (4-14) will play Camanche (5-14) on Feb. 15. The region final is scheduled for Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. at Dyersville Beckman High School.

In Class 1A Region 3, Turkey Valley (16-3) will play Starmont (2-17) at home on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. in the first round. The winner will play either Lansing Kee (11-7) or South Winn (2-15) on Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. at Waukon High School. The region semifinal is scheduled for Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at North Fayette Valley. The region final is set for Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. at either New Hampton or Charles City.
