Ellie Friesen wins gold in 3000 meters at Drake Relays

DES MOINES - Crestwood senior Ellie Friesen grabbed first place in the 3000 meters in a time of 9:50.44 seconds at the Drake Relays at Drake Stadium in Des Moines on Thursday, April 26. Friesen will also compete in the 800 meters at Drake on Friday, April 27 and in the 1500 meters on Saturday, April 28. Crestwood's Sharon Goodman will compete in the discus event at Drake Relays on April 27. Cadet Katie Saner will compete in the 100 meter dash on April 27 at Drake.
