Crestwood girls' cross country team punches ticket to State, two Cadet boys qualify for State
GARNER - The Crestwood girls' cross country team earned first place with 64 points at the Class 2A State Qualifier Meet on Oct. 18 in Garner to qualify for the State Meet in Fort Dodge for the second straight year. Cassidy Ihns won gold for the Cadets in a time of 19:06.78 to earn her second trip to State. Hope Dohlman was third in 20:19.75 to notch her fourth trip to State. Annie Mast placed 15th in 21:29.94 to qualify for State. In the boys' meet, two Crestwood runners finished in the top 15 individually to qualify for State. Bryden Juelsgaard placed 7th in 17:32.95 to earn his second trip to State, and Justin Nibaur finished 15th in 18:01.21 to qualify for State. The State Meet will be held on Oct. 27 in Fort Dodge.
