Cadet football squad downs New Hampton in 2OT, 27-21; grabs district lead

NEW HAMPTON - Crestwood quarterback Jon Henry scored on a two-yard touchdown run in the second overtime to help the Cadets beat New Hampton, 27-21, on Friday, Oct. 5 in New Hampton. The win moves Crestwood into sole possession of first place in Class 2A District 3 with a 3-0 mark (4-3 overall) with two district games left in the regular season. The Cadets will play at Hampton-Dumont on Oct. 12, and they will host Forest City on Oct. 19 in the regular season finale.
