Cadet boys edged by H-D, downed by Western Dubuque

HAMPTON - The Hampton-Dumont Bulldogs edged the Crestwood baseball team 3-2 on July 5 in five innings in the final regular season contest for the Cadets. The game was shortened to five innings because of the weather.

In the first round of the Class 3A District 3 tournament on July 8, the No. 8 seed Crestwood struggled at the plate against No. 1 Western Dubuque as the Bobcats downed the Cadets, 8-0. The loss ended Crestwood’s season at 1-25 overall.
