Coach’s comments
“We were obviously super excited to advance to State after placing second at the regional final at Rice Lake (on May 20),” Cadet Girls’ Head Coach Jason Sorenson said. “We set some individual goals at the beginning of the season knowing that working hard at that individual process could give us great team opportunities as well.  Making it to State was definitely in the back of our minds as the year progressed. Only 10 teams in Class 2A played at the State Meet, and we were proud to be one of those teams.
“We were on a little tight and nervous the first day, but I thought they settled down well and many still shot close to their average or even lower. We improved by 17 strokes as a team the second day so that lets me know that they are still competing and showing a lot of pride in their craft and  taking one shot at a time.
“Ainsley really grinded things out and worked hard to secure a six place finish and now playing three straight years at the state tournament. I really appreciate the leadership that our seniors showed as Kenzie, Peyton, Kiernan, and Zoey did so many great things over their careers too help put Crestwood Golf on the map," Sorenson said.
