CRESCO - Timothy “Tim” Shea Sr., age 69, of Cresco, Iowa, passed away at Regional Health Services of Howard County on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
A family graveside service will be held at a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lime Springs, Iowa. Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Timothy Shea was born on Nov. 28, 1953, the oldest son of Kenneth and Elizabeth “Betty” (Taylor) Shea in Boston, Mass. He graduated with the class of 1972, from Notre Dame High School.
Tim spent his life tending the land on his family’s farm. He was also known to plant a huge garden and made sure to share all the vegetables harvested. When he wasn’t digging in the dirt, he was off fishing. Most of all Tim, was incredibly proud of his four grandchildren.
He is survived by his children and grandchildren, Timothy (Bonnie) Shea of La Crosse, Wis. and their children, Elizabeth and A.J., and Amanda (Jarrod) Tomlinson of Atkins, Iowa and their sons, Blake and Korben; his brothers and sisters, Keith (Barbara) Shea of Austin, Minn., Karen (Tom) Wencl of Blooming Prairie, Minn., Patrick (Donna) Shea of What Cheer, Iowa and Rita Shea of Cresco.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Betty; brother, Wayne; maternal grandfather, Albert Taylor; maternal grandmother, Evaline (Ray) Fulcher; and paternal grandparents, Joe and Lucille Shea.
