Raymond Carl Bronner was born Oct. 19, 1949, in Charles City, Iowa, the son of William and Hazel (Ihns) Bronner. He attended elementary and high school in Riceville until his senior year, when his family moved to Cresco. He graduated with the Crestwood High School class of 1967. On May 15, 1976, Ray was united in marriage to Patricia Hruska at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a huge Iowa Hawkeyes football fan. He liked to go tailgating and watch the games with his family and friends.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hiking around Dunning Springs or visiting the Decorah Fish Hatchery. Together Ray and Pat visited Ireland, Hawaii and the Bahamas and took bus trips to the National Parks. He took pride in a meticulously-kept lawn and pontoon rides with family when living in Lake of the Ozarks.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Bronner of Cresco; his sons, Scott (Niki) Bronner of West Des Moines, Iowa and Troy (Tasha) Hart of Cresco; grandchildren, Lacey (Dana) Kitchen of Clear Lake, Iowa and Levi (Jess Hansmeier) Hart of Cresco; his great-grandson, Winston Kitchen; grand-puppy, Bruno; brothers, Kenneth (Reta) Bronner of Cresco, Richard (Charlotte) Bronner of La Porte City, Iowa, Ronald Bronner of Cresco and Eugene Bronner of Cresco; and many nieces and nephews.
