Patrick ‘Pat’ Reicks, 52

CRESCO - Patrick J. Reicks, age 52, of Cresco, Iowa, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2022 at his home, surrounded by family, after a two-year battle with cancer. 

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Saturday, April 9, 2022, with Father Jacob Rouse officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home assisted the family.

Patrick Joseph Reicks was born on March 19, 1970, the son of Dell and Monica (Lowe) Reicks in Cresco. He was a 1988 graduate from Crestwood High School. In his younger years, he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. 

To say that Pat loved music would be an understatement; it was a passion of his. He collected music memorabilia, attended many concerts and often called in to KVIK to answer the “Water Cooler Question.” 

Pat also liked to go treasure hunting. Whether it was antiquing, garage sales, flea markets or swap meets, he could find some type of treasure. He collected eagle statues, Harley Davidson merchandise and was a Ford man. 

Most of all, he adored his family and friends. He enjoyed time spent visiting with people.  

Pat is survived by his significant other, Jette Berken of Minneapolis, Minn.; his siblings, Kathy Tentis of Kellogg, Minn., Karen (Jeff) Fraser of Ave Maria, Fla., Tom (Patty) Reicks of Shakopee, Minn., Jane (Gary) Fjelstul of Ridgeway, Iowa, Mary (Gary) Ludeking of Ridgeway, Carol (Kevin) Kovarik of Calmar, Iowa and Rob (Barb) Reicks of Cresco; nieces and nephews, Matt (Elise) Tentis, Seth (Tara) Tentis, Kelsey (Gage) Kehler, Adam Fraser, Sarah (Phil) Kreh, Kyle (Jennie) Reicks, Erin (Eric) Plemel, Rachel (Ben) Jongbloedt, Scott Fjelstul, Andy (Natasha) Ludeking, Mike (Carol) Ludeking, Paula (Josh) Sonnabend, Stephanie (fiancé Dustin Horne), Nathan, Lauren and Kristen Reicks, Misty (Ben) Kerndt, Cherrie Christopher and Jodie (Shawn) Moe; 12 great-nieces and nephews; aunt, Jean Lowe; uncle, Denis D. Reicks; and many close friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dell and Monica Reicks; brother-in-law, Tony Tentis; and twin great-nieces in infancy Raelyn and Kaylee Fjelstul.
