ST. CLOUD - Matthew Edward Bisping, age 49 of St. Cloud, Minn., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023 in St. Cloud, surrounded by family. 

Services will be held at Notre Dame Parish Church in Cresco, Iowa on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023. Visitation is at 10 a.m., with Funeral Mass starting at 11 a.m. Lunch is at the church around 12:30 p.m., after burial.

Matthew was born on Aug. 19, 1973 in Farmington, Minn. to Ruth Bruner (née Bateman) of Cresco, Iowa and Mark Bisping of Dorchester, Iowa. He lived in Rochester and Eyota, Minn. as a young man. He graduated from Dover-Eyota High School in 1992 and attended Winona State and St. Cloud State. 

Matthew was a hard worker from a young age, and he worked many years at Perkins restaurant locations in Rochester before working at Spee-Dee Delivery in St. Cloud. 

There, Matthew met Sara Rud of Thief River Falls, Minn., and they had three wonderful children together, Brooke and twins, Marshall and Olivia. 

Matthew is survived by his children, Brooke, Marshall and Olivia, along with their mother, Sara; his father, Mark of Rochester; his brothers, Jason of Broomfield, Colo. and Nathan of Rochester; his sister, CarolAnn Jackson of Spring Valley, Minn.; his nieces and nephews; his godmother and aunt, Barb Bateman; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth; his grandparents, Helen and Walter Bateman of Cresco and Doris and Martin Bisping of Dorchester; his godfather, Paul Bateman; his cousin, Michael Bateman; his cousin, Christopher Bisping; and his step-mother, Susan Bisping.
