CRESCO - Keith M. Steffen, age 69, of Cresco, Iowa, died on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at Aase Hagen Senior Services in Decorah, Iowa.

Keith Michael Steffen was born on Jan. 24, 1953, the son of William and Marion (Nehl) Steffen in Cresco.  He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, after which he  enlisted in the United States Air Force and was primarily based in California.  

When he was honorably discharged from the military, Keith remained in California.  He began working at Panattoni Development Construction as a sales and marketing agent.  He made California his home for the next 45 years.  He returned to the Cresco area in 2017.  

Keith had a passion for photography.  He loved photographing the Buttes outside of Yuba City, Calif., creating picture collages and gifting the collages to family and friends.  He also liked old cars, his favorite being the red Ford Mustang Mach 1 that he owned.  He enjoyed golfing and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.     

Keith is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Reitnauer; sons, Schonn Steffen Ambrose and Keyes Steffen Ambrose; grandchildren, Meagan and Michael Reitnauer; mother, Marion Steffen; sisters, Michelle (Neil) Funke and Julie (Dean) Walsh; brother, Warren (Karen) Steffen; and several nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his father, William, and brother, Lee.
