ALTA VISTA, KS - Karl G. Lloyd, age 80, of Alta Vista, Kan. passed away on March 8, 2019 at the Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kan.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 with visitation at 10 a.m. and memorial services at 11 a.m. at Simpson United Methodist Church in Alta Vista.
Karl was born on Feb. 27, 1939 in Lime Springs, Iowa, the son of Willis and Dorothy (Billman) Lloyd. He graduated from the Lime Springs High School Class of 1957 and joined the Coast Guard, serving on ice breakers.
He married Judy L. Finley on March 19, 1961 and had four children, Kyle, Tina, Jill and Rusty. Judy passed away on Jan. 25, 2006, and he later married Lavonne Siegrist. He and Vonnie enjoyed traveling to visit their children and grandchildren around the Midwest as well as his twin sister and family in Iowa.
Karl is survived by his wife, Lavonne; children; stepchildren; grandchildren; stepgrandchildren; twin sister, Karen (Wendell) Westphal of Nora Springs, Iowa; and three stepsisters.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy; son, Kyle Lloyd; and brother, Richard Lloyd.
