PROTIVIN - Frances A. Wilson, age 100, of Protivin, Iowa, passed away at her home on Dec. 13, 2021.
A visitation will be held at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Cresco, Iowa, on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, from 10-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama, Iowa, at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
Frances Arlene Koudelka was born on Jan. 23, 1921, near Lawler, Iowa, to John and Frances (Jirak) Koudelka. She was the youngest of three siblings. After graduating from Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Elmer G. Wilson on Jan. 23, 1968, at St. Ludmila’s Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Shortly after their marriage, Elmer passed away. For many years, she taught at a local country school. Frances was remarkably smart and was known for being fun to talk with. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and solved many in her free time.
She is survived in death by many nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Wilson; parents, John and Frances Koudelka; and siblings, Will Koudelka and Lucy Pecinovsky.
