Edith Mae Dotzler was born on Oct. 24, 1931 to Edward and Mae (Schafer) Dotzler. She worked at Evans Memorial Home for 40 years as a CNA. She was a very hard worker, was always there to lend a helping hand and was willing to give you the shirt off her back.
Her legacy brought forth six kids, 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, all of whom she was extremely proud of. Spending time with her family brought her so much joy. Her granddaughter, Danielle would take Edith out on shopping trips and to the Whippy Dip for delicious ice cream treats.
Edith enjoyed crossword puzzles, canning and loved a good cup of coffee and a chat. She was a kind woman with a gentle soul who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her four children, Jeanette Wiginton of Little Elm, Texas, Randy Lepa of Cresco, Daryl (Kathy) Lepa of Riceville, Iowa and Dale (Lori) Lepa of Cresco; son-in-law, Steve Dawley of Ridgeway, Iowa; brother, Gene Dotzler of Cresco; grandchildren, Shannon, Shawn, Nathan, Aaron, Carri, Danielle, Dakotah, Ashlee, Courtney, Sydney, Samantha, Gracie, Lacey and Bud; 25 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mae Dotzler; daughters, Deb Ryan and Julie Dawley; 10 brothers, five sisters; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
