RUSHFORD, Minn. - Services for Douglas P. Thompson, 74, formerly of Rushford, Minn. were held on Jan. 12, 2017 at Marco Lutheran Church on Marco Island, Fla.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 20, 2017 at New Oregon Cemetery south of Cresco, Iowa.
Doug's career was with State Farm Insurance. He retired in 2005 as their Mid-Atlantic Senior Vice President.
Surviving Doug are his wife Lynn; brother-in-law Bill and his wife Cheryl; nieces Carrie (Trip), Meagan (Ryan) and Mary (Jim); nephew Mark (Susan); and several great nieces and nephews as well as his caregiver Luz.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Mabel; brother Herb and his wife Betty; and his parents-in-law Les and Irene Seele.
