FORMERLY OF CRESCO - Debra Winsell, age 65, of Ossian, Iowa, formerly of Cresco, Iowa, died on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Ossian Senior Hospice, where she resided for the last five years. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 26 at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Cresco with Father Jacob Rouse officiating. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, April 25 at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Cresco with Rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. and a scripture service at 7 p.m.. Visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m. at the church on Tuesday. 

Debra A. Myers was born on Aug. 6, 1956 to Gene and Anna (Ryan) Myers in Cresco. She graduated from Notre Dame High School. On Oct. 6, 1990, she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Winsell at the United Methodist Church in Cresco, and from this union, she gained a stepson, Dustin. Deb enjoyed watching NASCAR races and spending time with family. She spent a lot of time gardening and canning. In addition to going on vacation, Deb loved to go camping. Every year she would make her annual trip to Cranberry Fest in Warrens, Wis. She was very talented at making crafts and doing needlework, especially counted cross stitch. 

Deb is survived by her husband, Bill Winsell of Ridgeway, Iowa; stepson, Dustin (Jenny) Winsell of Black River Falls, Wis. and their daughter, Allie (Clint) Halverson of Oceanside, Calif.; mother, Anna Myers of Ridgeway; brother, David (Beverly Blaess) Myers of Ridgeway; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Myers; sister, Diane Bruening; and niece, Jennifer Zweibohmer.
