FORMERLY of CRESCO - Clarissa “Claire” Sutton (nee Hein), age 95, of North Olmsted, Ohio, formerly of Cresco, Iowa, died peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
Private interment will be in Brecksville Cemetery, Brecks-ville, Ohio and Oaklawn Cemetery, Cresco.
Claire was born on Aug. 16, 1927, in Schley, Iowa, and remained in Iowa, graduating from Cresco High School in 1945. She then served abroad in the U.S. State Department until eventually settling in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
Claire was known by all for her beautiful smile, but is best remembered for her dedication to her church and devotion to her family.
She was the beloved mother of Robert W. (Vicky) Lane, Phillip Lane and Eric (Amy) Lane; dearest step-mother of Kathryn (Jeffrey) Olds, James (Bethany) Sutton, Richard Sutton and Scott (Anne) Sutton; and dear grandmother of six and great-grandmother of two.
She was the loving wife of the late Fred C. and the late Robert J. Lane; beloved mother of son, Stephen Lane; daughter of the late William and Geneva (nee Iverson) Hein; and sister of the late Arnold E. (Norma) Hein.
