Driving along N. Elm St. in Cresco is causing a lot of second looks at the previous Baptist Church and most recently the Store Next Door, associated with the County Store on the corner of N. Elm and 3rd St.

The “castle part” of the structure is being taken off. A new roof will soon replace the old. According to owner Brady Norman, “There will be apartments at some point. I’m not sure how many yet.” There is currently an apartment in the basement. 

“Nothing interesting has been found. It was pretty well cleaned out,” he said.

Norman added the windows and organ are for sale on e-Bay.
