Two seriously injured in single car crash

LIME SPRINGS - Two individuals were transported by helicopter after a Dec. 26 crash in Lime Springs.
The Howard County Sheriff’s Office was notified at 2:10 a.m. that a car had crashed into an electric pole across the road to the west from Brown Park. A car had been wrapped around the pole.
Two individuals were found to have serious injuries, two life flight helicopters were called, landing at the ball field.
One individual was taken right away. Extrication by Lime Springs Fire Department had to wait for the other until the electricity was turned off. Both were taken to Rochester.
No names were officially released as of press time.
The investigation is ongoing and more details will be released at a later date.
