Featuring hearty, home-style food, the restaurant, located at 726 2nd Ave SE, Cresco, offers a wide variety of menu items, as well as weekly Noon specials. Hot beef is offered from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday – Saturday, but not on Sunday. Sue-Z-Q’s delivers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 5-8 p.m. Call 563-547-5992.

Breakfast

If you want breakfast at any time of the day, stop by Sue-Z-Q’s. The breakfast menu includes egg dishes such as The Traveler (two eggs served with toast and jelly); French Toast (Four slices grilled and topped with powdered sugar, or served with Texas Toast); All-American (Two eggs, toast and your choice of meat). Farmer’s Special (Two pancakes, two eggs, and your choice of toast); Biscuits & Gravy as a full or half order; Eggs Benedict; or a Breakfast Sandwich.

 

Specialty Haystacks 

Haystack: Hash browns grilled with onions, mushrooms, green peppers and choose: Ham, bacon, Angus beef patties or sausage topped with melted American cheese.

Reuben Haystack: Has browns grilled with corned beef, onions, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and a side of Thousand Island dressing. 

Taco Haystack: Hash browns grilled with onions and seasoned taco meat, topped with shredded Cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and taco chips, served with sour cream and taco sauce.

Philly Haystack: Hash browns grilled with onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and choose beef or chicken. Topped with Swiss cheese. 

Chicken Bacon Ranch Haystack: Hash browns grilled with onions, chicken and bacon, and topped with Cheddar cheese and tomatoes, served with a side of ranch dressing. 

 

Three-Egg Omelets

Jo-Ball Omelet: Hash browns, cheese, green peppers, mushrooms, onions and choice of ham, sausage or bacon.

Ominous Omelet: Six-egg omelet filled with ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, and melted American cheese 

Cheese Omelet: Omelet loaded with melted American cheese.

Chicken Cheddar: Seasoned and grilled sliced chicken with shredded Cheddar. Add bacon for an additional charge.

Western Omelet: Sautéed ham, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and American cheese. Served with salsa.

Taco Omelet: Taco meat and cheese topped with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and nacho chips. Optional: Sour cream and taco sauce.

Meat and Cheese Omelet: Filled with your choice of ham, bacon and sausage with melted American cheese. 

Veggie Omelet: Peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese. 

Additional items include pancakes, sides, and a kids’ menu. 

Lunch items include soup & salad, appetizers, and a senior menu.

 

Sandwiches

Philly Melt, BLT, Ham & Cheese, Pork Tenderloin, Fish Sandwich, Texas Pulled Pork, Grilled Cheese, Reuben, Chicken Breast, Chicken Bacon, Pizza Burger and French Dip.

 

Burgers

Mushroom Swiss, Super ‘Big T’ Burger (Two fresh beef burgers with two slices of cheese, Thousand Island dressing, lettuce, pickles, ketchup and mustard); Bacon Cheeseburger, The Regular (1/2 pound burger served on a grilled bun with your choice of toppings. Add cheese for an additional charge); Cheeseburger, Philly Melt, Farmers’ Market (Burger with egg, two slices of bacon, lettuce and mayonnaise). 

 

Specialties

Hamburger Steak, Fantail Shrimp, Chicken Strip Basket, Two-Piece Fried Chicken, Two-Piece Fish Dinner.

 Saturdays feature fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables and salad bar.

Sue-Z-Q’s offers hard-serve ice cream from WW Homestead Dairy or soft-serve ice cream for cones and bowls. All ice cream is available in a variety of flavors to suit any taste.
