Update Howard Cty. courthouse now closed

Cresco - Openings and closings have been changing on an daily and sometimes hourly basis. On Tuesday, March 17, the courthouse was going to be limiting access to the building. As of 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, the courthouse is now closed to the public.

Howard County Treasurer Warren Steffen said for taxes and other payments to use the dropbox to the left of the main entrance outside the Sheriff’s Department. Payments can also be done online. 

Howard County Auditor Julie Chapman noted, “Deadline for nomination papers still apply. People can call the Auditor’s office to get information on how to file them.”
