CRESCO - The Times Plain Dealer is announcing Shilo Leff has joined the staff as the new ad sales representative. She will be taking over the spot left by Betty Schmitt, when she retired in December.
Leff has lived on the western end of Howard County, between Riceville and LeRoy, her entire life. She graduated from Riceville High School.
She is a single mom to Colten, age 11, and Callie, age almost seven. Readers have already met the family. Callie was the First Baby of the Year, born Jan. 15, 2016.
Besides being a “Mom Taxi,” Leff enjoys reading and cooking. She also likes baking, when she finds the time. One of her current projects is to refinish a dresser.
Leff has previously been employed in ad sales while working out of the Riceville office for the Enterprise Journal. In that capacity, she covered Riceville, Osage, St. Ansgar, Elma and all places in between.
“I enjoyed it,” Leff said. “I loved learning about the businesses and meeting new people. Now I am looking forward to learning about the Howard County businesses and making connections.”
Editor Marcie Klomp said, “We are excited to have Shilo join our team. She has some different ideas and will bring a new perspective on our readership. We are looking foward to embracing her enthusiasm!”
