Special program at CCC

—Enjoy a weekend of spiritual nourishment

CRESCO - Ernest and Karen Richards will be presenting “Our Present Heavenly Residence in Light of Our Wilderness Experience” all weekend, April 6-8, at Cresco Community Chapel.
The Richards’ dialog about God’s incredible word begins on Friday evening at 7 p.m., with “Who ‘You’ IS (The Recurring Crisis of Identity).”
The sessions continue on Saturday from 7:30-9 a.m. with fellowship breakfasts for men and women. Ernie will meet with the men, while the ladies will learn from Karen.
From 9-10 a.m. on Sunday, a presentation of “Elvis has Left the Building (This is not Our Home)” will take place. Right after that, at 10 a.m., the Sunday message is about “Putting Your Eggs in One Basket (‘Yes’ to things above; ‘No’ to things below).”
A potluck will follow the morning service.
After the potluck, approximately at 1 p.m., the final session, “You have Reached Your Destination (Abiding Above),” will be presented.
Even after 26 years of teaching and preaching, the Richards have not lost their passion for spreading the word of God. Ernest has taught at new Tribes Bible Institute during those years. He has studied and taught the Book of Romans (for 16 years), as well as Hebrews, Ephesians, Galatians, the Life of Christ, I, II and III John, Psalms, Acts and Minor Prophets, as well as Evangelism, Dispensations, Homiletics, Hermeneutics, Bibliology and Cults and Heresies, among others.
In 1986, Ernest was challenged to his very core through the book, “Shadow of the Almighty,” and signed up to be a tribal missionary with New Tribes Mission.
However, he and his young bride, Karen, were asked by mission leadership to stay in the States and take over the radio ministry, “Call of the Tribes,” because of his eight years of experience as an announcer, producer and writer in commercial radio and his B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Michigan, where Ernest graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1977.
A year-and-a-half later, there was a pressing need for another teacher at the Bible Institute, just 15 minutes down the road from “Call of the Tribes.”
Ernest and Karen were so firm in their commitment to “going to the regions beyond,” they always agreed they could only justify remaining stateside if they were convinced in their hearts they could make a greater contribution to world missions by staying here than by physically going overseas.
The couple have had the joy of a thrilling and fulfilling ministry in seeing literally hundreds of lives touched and radically transformed through God’s Incredible Word!
Visit them during one, two or all the sessions they are presenting this weekend at Cresco Community Chapel.
