Seeing Purple at Sterling Pharmacy

Sterling Pharmacy Alzheimer’s Awareness Cookies, Punch June 30

CRESCO - Last year, Sterling pharmacies, located in Cresco, Osage, and several locations throughout Minnesota, raised $10,692 for the Alzheimer’s Association. That dollar amount was then matched by the Astrup Family Foundation—increasing the donation to $21,384.
Sterling is at it again this June and they are aiming even higher. Visit Sterling Cresco and you will immediately see the support of the Cresco community. As Sterling collects donations, pin-ups are taped to the wall—a look they hope to decorate the entire store with.
In an effort to raise awareness, you have seen the Sterling Cresco team in purple every Friday. They will be closing out Alzheimer’s Association Month with cookies and punch on the last Friday of the month, June 30.
They are encouraging anyone who is interested to swing in for a tasty treat and donate to a great cause.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, it is estimated that as many as 5.1 million Americans may have Alzheimer's disease. By donating to the Association, you can help create a world without Alzheimer’s Disease, but it will also go towards their efforts to providing and enhancing care and support for all affected and reducing the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Like last year, the Astrup Family Foundation will be matching every dollar raised in all Sterling locations. The family’s passion to find a cure is magnified by their own experience with the disease. The patriarch of the family, and passionate founder of Sterling, Leonard Astrup, struggled with Alzheimer’s Disease in his final years of life.
