Robbie Brokken is Cresco Fine Arts show judge

CRESCO - Robbie Brokken serves as judge for the 56th Annual Cresco Fine Arts Show Sunday, Aug. 6 from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at Beadle Park, located on Highway 9, Cresco.
The Cresco Fine Arts Show features music and activities for all ages, including artist demonstrations, music performances, food, wine tastings, children’s activities, and drawings for creative cash.
Brokken, of Harmony, Minn., is gallery director for Lanesboro Arts, managing sales and exhibition galleries in all aspects.
Other duties include working with over 100 local and regional artists, sales, contract arrangements, recruiting new artists, running Jury, presenting artist demonstrations, displaying all art, installing exhibitions, organizing sales staff, coordinating and producing gallery openings monthly, appearing on KTTC TV to promote exhibitions and special events, mentoring support to other artists, working with children’s groups to educate, among other responsibilities.
She also works as a consultant to non-profit art centers, and serves as a Career Day Adviser at Luther College in Decorah. She has served as a judge for the Cresco Annual Fine Arts Show, along with the Austin Area Art Center for several years.
Brokken received an associate degree, majoring in display and exhibit design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, N.Y.C. in 1975.
