VERNON SPRINGS - Shay Gooder of Bear Creek Archeology is working on his Masters Degree by researching Vernon Springs.
He has found some information about the area but is looking for more. Pictures, postcards, family journals, family stories handed down for generations — these will help him fill in the blanks of the one-time bustling burg.
Gooder is very excited about the project as his father, Pat, and brother, Chris, are helping in the hopes of finding more information about a brewery in the vicinity. They are in the process of opening Vernon Springs Brewing Co. in 2022.
