Cresco - There is a new helpful face at Accura HealthCare of Cresco.
Sandy Chilson is the new administrator and is back in her hometown area. Chilson, a native of Lime Springs, has had around 25 years of experience at different areas of the healthcare field.
After she graduated from Crestwood High School, Chilson obtained her Bachelors at Central College in Pella, Iowa. Later she gained her Masters of Healthcare Administration from Chapman University in California.
She moved back from California in 2007 when her husband, Chris, retired from the United States Navy. The couple live in Lime Springs with their four cats and one dog.
Chilson noted the best part of working in the health care field is “getting to know people. Being able to help people with difficult decisions. The healthcare business is not something people have experience with until it is a need. So I to have the knowledge and ability to help people navigate that system.”
She added, “I’m happy being here, being in the local community.” She says her co-workers are a “good group” and “people who like to have fun.”
Chilson said, “I have worked in various long-term healthcare or adult day settings since our return. Working in different levels of care in multiple states has given me a broad variety of experiences. I am excited to be part of the Accura family.”
