HCCF awards $100k to local organizations

 

Lime Springs - The Howard County Community Foundation held its annual grant awards ceremony on April 25, announcing the distribution of $99,193 in grants to 52 area nonprofits and government agencies.
 “The work these deserving organizations do to create a stronger county is critical to making our communities places where everyone can thrive,” said Dawn Fairbanks, Howard County committee chair. “The Howard County Community Foundation is proud to be a partner in their work, and we are thankful for the generosity of community-minded people who make this impact possible.”
She then mentioned all the board members, including Christopher Back, Shirley Ferguson and Elaine Govern of Riceville; Fairbanks, Jeff Burnikel and Carla Moser of Lime Springs; Brooke Cray of Chester; Wayne Kerian, Kip Powers and Dave Sovereign of Cresco; Mark Meirick of Protivin; and Bradley Shatek of Elma.
