Donna Hyberger has the RAGBRAI spirit

CRESCO -  Donna Hyberger is very excited about RAGBRAI coming to Cresco, and she has a fun way of showing it.

In the backyard of her house at 236 4th Ave. West in Cresco, she is displaying four screen paintings she made recently specifically for the RAGBRAI riders, which will include her husband, Ron; and son, Chris.

“I made the screen paintings last week after going to the library to get some books with photos of what I wanted to paint,” Hyberger said. “Painting is very relaxing for me. I get my paint brush out, and I just go for it. I keep going until I get the right color.”All of the paintings have been made using recycled screen windows. 

Hyberger said in the past, she has made screen prints of snowmen and winter scenes, and she has given them to friends as gifts.

“I like to make people smile by giving them my paintings,” Hyberger said. “I can’t wait for RAGBRAI to come here. I think everyone should get in the RAGBRAI spirit!”
