Car vs. garbage truck accident

Howard County - On Nov. 1, a car versus garbage truck accident took place.
The incident started at 5:55 a.m. when an unidentified (due to age) individual was attempting to elude police in a 2008 Jeep Patriot Limited. The Jeep was northbound on Holly Ave, when it came in contact with a deer. The driver lost control of the vehicle after contact.
At that same time, a 2013 Mack garbage truck, driven by Rickey Head, age 60, of Chester, was traveling south on Holly. Head tried to avoid the Jeep but the two collided. The Jeep ended up in the west ditch. It was totaled.
Head received no injuries, but the individual driving the Jeep was transported to Regional Health Services of Howard County with suspected serious/incapacitation injuries. Charges are pending.
