Are we going to set a snow record?

Howard County - With an expected snowfall prediction of 6-12 inches of snow this weekend, Howard County is on a path to move up the list of snowiest winters/Februaries.
The area is fortunate to have Cresco as a National Weather Service weather co-op observer. Because of that, precipitation has been recorded since the 1930s.
As of Friday, Feb. 22, Cresco has received a total of 51.1 inches for the 2018-19 season, putting it just 4.3 inches from getting into the top 10 snowiest seasons, which include:
1950-51 85.6
1958-59 73.3
1951-52 63.5
2006-07 61.4
1981-82 60.5
1970-71 60.3
1938-39 57.6
2010-11 56.7
1978-79 56.3
2013-14 55.4
It is likely the area will also gain the record of the snowiest February. As of Friday, Cresco recorded 23.3 inches, so far making it the fourth snowiest February. The top five include:
2007 31.1
1939 26.5
1959 26
Feb. 21, 2019 23.3
1962 17.1
