42nd Annual Fly-in Breakfast & Cresco Fine Arts Show set for Sunday, Aug. 4

CRESCO - It’s that time of year again for the annual Fly-in Breakfast at the Ellen Church Field/Cresco Airport!
On Sunday, August 4, from 7:30 a.m. until noon, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat omelets and pancakes offered at only $12.00 a ticket. Children under five years of age can eat for free! Tickets can be purchased ahead at the Cresco Chamber office, CUSB bank, and Cresco Bank & Trust or at the event.
Weather permitting, a number of planes may be on display and a pilot will be available to give rides for an additional cost. The organizers are still looking for volunteers to help out at the event, so call the Chamber if you can help!
The Cresco Fine Art Show will begin at 9:30 a.m. and go until 3:30 p.m. at Beadle Park.
Judging the Fine Art Show will be Shannon Dellanbach Durbin from Decorah. She was recognized in 2023 by the Governor as an Art Champion for Iowa for her role as Director for Arthaus. The Fine Arts Council consisits of Loraine Hubka (Chair), Gretchen Becker, Linda Hovey, Sue O’Kada, Sue Easler, Darla Erickson, Linda Schorr, and Grace Hove.
Visiting artists will showcase pottery, photography, painting, metal art, ceramics, watercolor, among other art forms.
