CRESCO - Steven W. Mailey, age 68, of Cresco died on December 28, 2022, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center.
A Memorial Mass for Steven will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Cresco, with a visitation one hour prior to the start of the service. Burial with military honors will be at St. Bridget's Cemetery immediately following the luncheon.
Steven William Mailey was born on July 28, 1954, son of Roger W. and Dorothy R. (Marks) Mailey in Illinois. After high school, Steven enlisted into the United States Army. From previous relationships, Steven had four children, Bryan, Stephanie, Sara and Steven. He enjoyed traveling and yearly trips to Las Vegas with his parents. On December 19, 2017, he married Nadine May. Together the couple enjoyed shopping, hanging out, and playing with their dogs.
Steven is survived by his wife, Nadine Mailey, four children: Bryan Mailey, Stephanie Kriener, Sara Mailey and Steven Mailey; step-daughter, Shauna Green; grandchildren, Jared Mailey, Kyle and Kaitlyn Kriener, Sydny Mailey and Riley, Maycie and McKade Mailey; step-grandchild Selah Jones; and sister Nancy Samec.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Dorothy, and two brothers, Gerald and Roger Jr.
