Marcia Williams, 81

CRESCO - Marcia Jane Williams, 81, of Cresco, IA (formerly of Hudson, IA) died on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Accura HealthCare of Cresco. She was born on March 11, 1944 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Charles and Lorna (Petersen) Thuesen.

She graduated from Price Lab School (NU High) in Cedar Falls.

 Marcia married Lowell Williams, July 21, 1972 in Cedar Falls; he preceded her in death on March 17, 1999.

 She worked as a supervisor for John Deere for 14 years working primarily at the foundry, then worked in data processing at the Home Shopping Network before retiring.

 She loved riding and showing horses.  She also enjoyed sewing, playing cards, dancing, going to the casino and listening to polka and Elvis music. 

 Marcia is survived by: son, Tom (Dana) Williams of Cresco; daughter, Kelly (Dennis) Woods of Hudson; step-son, Terry (Andrea) Williams of Cedar Falls; brother, Richard (Kay) Thuesen of Cedar Falls; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

 Marcia is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Janeene Mikkelsen.

 Services will be held at  11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Locke at Tower Park, Waterloo.

 Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Locke at Tower Park, Waterloo.

 Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo

 Special thanks to all the staff at Accura Healthcare for the exceptional, self-less care, who went above and beyond, taking care of Marcia, especially in her final days and hours.  We are forever grateful.

 Memorials may be directed to the family where a fund will be established.
