Storm damage in Lime Springs
Lime Springs - A storm hit Lime Springs around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 16. The streets were littered with leaves and small branches as residents woke up Wednesday morning.
Branches that had been blocking streets were removed by Tony Roberts and Mayor Kevin Bill.
There was a little damage, but it didn't seem to be very bad and nobody was injured.
Amy Norton, who's Yukon and lawnmower sustained damage from a fallen tree branch, was happy their house was undamaged. She said the wind picked up and was blowing so hard one of her ceiling lights in the kitchen fell on the floor. Also, one of her boys noticed plaster flecking off in the house due to the high winds.
Some areas, especially out of town, to the north, experienced around four hours without electricity.
