Cresco - Ryan and Meagan Moellers have a Christmas tradition of hosting an annual Christmas party for their friends and children.
This year they added in a bit of movie magic. “I always have a different theme,” Moellers explained, “and this year was The Polar Express.”
She hired the Decorah Trolley for Dec. 2 and had it decorated as a holiday train. Each member of the seven families participating, a total of 30 friends and family, were given a ticket that had to be punched to climb aboard. Oh . . . and they had to arrive in their pajamas to follow the movie’s plot.
With hot chocolate to keep them warm, the group made a stop at the North Pole and rode around Cresco to check out all the beautiful holiday lights.
“I would do it again,” Moellers admitted. “It was a magical holiday experience for both the kids and adults!”
This was the Moellers’ 10th anniversary of celebrating the Christmas spirit together.
