Learn to repurpose, create new home décor

Cresco - Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) Business and Community Solutions is offering the class “Repurpose Old Stuff to Create New Home Décor” (#54644) on Monday, March 6, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at the NICC Cresco Center, 1020 2nd Avenue SE.

Rather than letting items gather dust or being hauled to Goodwill, reuse an old picture frame and a decorative glass plate to create a unique piece of art to hang in a window or on a wall.  

All that is needed is an 8”x10” or 11”x14” picture frame with the glass (no backing is necessary) and a pretty, flat glass plate or saucer that fits inside the frame. If a plate is not available, designs can be created without it. At class, receive the direction, colorful glass beads and glue to help put everything together into a beautiful design that will sparkle as it catches the light in a window or on a wall.
