City of Cresco History Book, 1866-2016, for sale
Cresco - Cresco celebrated its 150th anniversary this summer, and many of the businesses and events that have made Cresco the town it is today are featured in a 300-plus page history book.
The Times Plain Dealer’s “City of Cresco History Book, 1866-2016” will take the reader from the very beginning when the town was first established at New Oregon, through the burying of the Time Capsule this fall.
There are chapters on general history, churches, government, education, sports, healthcare, entertainment, organizations, notable people from Cresco, places to visit, agriculture, current and old businesses and pictures galore! A graph shows the population of Cresco through the years and some quick facts give a different view of what happened in the county seat.
The staff of Times Plain Dealer worked hard all this year to give Cresco a book to make its former and current residents proud of their heritage.
There are plenty of books available for Christmas and birthday presents. The publication will make a great coffee table book, where a person can sit down and read an article or two and pick it up a few days later.
Cost of the book is $25 plus tax for a total of $26.75.
