CRESCO - Baseball and softball seasons begin on Monday, May 19, and Tuesday, May 20 respectively for the two Crestwood teams.
    The boys are scheduled to open at Central Elkader on May 19 for a varsity-junior varsity outing. The girls will open at Riceville on May 20 with varsity-junior varsity contests. On both dates, the games are to begin at 5:30 p.m.
    The tentative schedule calls for the boys to play on 24 dates that include nine doubleheaders and two tournaments, the Kee High Tournament on Saturday, May 24, and the Crestwood Invitational on Saturday, May 31. The first home game is scheduled for Friday, May 23, when the Cadets host North Fayette in a doubleheader with the first game to begin at 5:30 p.m.
    The tentative girls schedule calls for 25 dates and includes eight doubleheaders and seven tournaments, including the Crestwood Invitational on Saturday, May 31. The first home contests for the softball team will be Tuesday, May 27, when they host Decorah in a doubleheader. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
