No. 7 CPU trips Cadet girls, 6-5, in Class 3A Region Final

CENTER POINT - A seventh-inning rally by the Crestwood softball team fell narrowly short as No. 7 Center Point-Urbana held on for a 6-5 win over the Cadets Monday, July 10, in the Class 3A Region 4 Final.
The loss ended Crestwood’s season with a stellar 24-9 mark. CPU (29-10) will advance to play in the Class 3A State Tournament July 17-21 in Fort Dodge.
The 2017 IGHSAU Girls' State Softball Championship games at the Harlan Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge will be broadcast live on statewide Iowa Public Television. Live coverage is as follows: Friday, July 21 10 a.m. Class 4A; 12:15 p.m. Class 5A; 2:30 p.m. Class 1A; 4:45 p.m. Class 2A; 7 p.m. Class 3A.
