New Hampton rallies to beat Cadet ninth grade football team

 

CRESCO -  New Hampton tossed a 48-yard touchdown pass with 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter to hand the Crestwood ninth grade football team its first loss of the season Friday, 29-22.
In a game that went back-and-forth throughout, the Cadets took a 22-21 lead with 40 seconds left in the game when Carter Henry completed a 15-yard touchdown pass to Reid Wiley. Mason Peter ran the ball in for two points to give the Cadets a one-point lead before the Chickasaws rallied for the win.
The Cadets (5-1) will play at Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on Friday, Oct. 6 at 4:45 p.m. Crestwood’s next home game will be Oct. 13 against Clear Lake. Crestwood will conclude the regular season on Oct. 20 at Forest City.
