Crestwood wrestling teams split with Decorah, girls rout SW

CRESCO - The Crestwood wrestling teams hosted an exciting night of duals against Decorah and South Winn on Thursday, Jan. 11.
The Crestwood boys’ team rallied to beat Decorah, 40-36. The Cadet girls’ team routed South Winn, 60-10; and Crestwood lost to Decorah, 24-60.
In the boys’ meet, the Cadets trailed the Vikings, 22-36, with three duals left before storming back for the win. Crestwood’s Preston McCabe won by fall over Anthony Putman at 285 and Mitchell Schmauss tallied a pin against Kelton Casterton at 113. Cody Kerian posted a fall for the Cadets at 157.
In the girls’ dual against South Winn, Addie Isaacson (115), Brooklyn Burke (130) and Kara Kennedy (105) all posted falls for the Cadets.
