CRESCO - Crestwood senior Jaydan Teslow scored on a one-yard touchdown run with 5:10 remaining in the game to help the Cadets secure a 21-14 homecoming win over Forest City on Friday, Sept. 17 in the district opener for both teams.
Crestwood (1-3 overall, 1-0 district) will travel to New Hampton (2-2, 1-0) on Friday, Sept. 24 to battle the Chickasaws. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Despite committing 10 penalties for 95 yards against the Forest City Indians, Cadet Head Coach Justin Denner said his team did a good job of bouncing back from mistakes.
“I thought our guys did an outstanding job of staying composed throughout the course of the game,” Denner said. “We had too many penalties, but the guys did a great job responding to those situations and making the most of the situations. That played a significant role in our ability to get the win."
Complete statistics from the game will be in the Sept. 22 issue of the Times Plain Dealer.
