Crestwood cross country teams enjoy solid 2022 season

CRESCO - The Crestwood girls' and boys' cross country teams recently concluded a solid 2022 season, which included two Cadets advancing to the Class 2A State Cross Country Meet in Fort Dodge.

Cadet junior Kinze Shea placed seventh at the Girls' State Meet to earn a medal. She posted a personal best time of 19:28.82 seconds. Crestwood junior Dominic Bigalk finished 81st in the Boys' State Meet in a time of 18:15.89.

The Crestwood girls' cross country team finished fourth at the Class 2A State Qualifier Meet, finishing only 11 points behind the third place team, New Hampton. The top three teams at the State Qualifier advance to the State Meet. Shea placed second at the State Qualifier Meet in 20:00.06 to earn her second trip to State.

The Crestwood boys' cross country team placed seventh at the Class 2A State Qualifier Meet. Bigalk placed 15th at the State Qualifier Meet in 17:59.12 to earn a trip to the State Meet.
